Software Overview

Infrared
in a nutshell

The more heat a body emits, the more infrared light can be detected.

Therefore, infrared sensors are used for detecting signs of temperature variations. The sensors detect the amount of heat being emitted and the software algorithms makes it easy for us to “visualize” the temperature of the body with different color palettes representing the temperature variations.

Components

The imaging process has three critical components:

  • Camera
  • Software
  • Thermographer

Software is the communication between the camera and the Thermographer. A successful design must be both functional and intuitive.

Functional / Intuitive

Imaging quality is critical to accurate assessment. The thermographer requires software designed to assist in the creation of a successful study.

Features include: Patented positional overlays for each position, digital zoom, software controlled focus, on screen positioning tips, client questionnaires imbedded in the image file, quickly upload study to the server for interpretation.

Management Tools

Taking the images is only the beginning. Management features include: Multiple printing and export format options, multiple palettes, range and color adjustment, temperature measurement, drawing and assessment tools.
